Services
I offer personalized one-on-one developmental support services for your preschool or elementary school-aged child.
My services are non-clinical. I am not a licensed therapist, and my work does not replace diagnosis, medical care, or therapy (such as OT, speech, or mental health services) provided by licensed professionals. I’m am always happy to work alongside your child’s existing team.
School Support
I join your child at school to support them through the sensory environment, social environment, transitions, and academic expectations of their school day, supporting meaningful participation and belonging in their school community. I collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to increase accessibility and support for your child at school.
I also offer 1 hour one-on-one pull-out play sessions using the DIR Floortime® model during the school day for preschoolers and elementary school aged children.
Home Support
Home support is tailored to your child and family’s needs. This may include play sessions using the DIR Floortime® framework, support through daily routines, or supported playdates and neighborhood outings. I help children build developmentally appropriate independence in self-care and self-regulation, from preparing themselves a snack to accessing a sensory support strategy, all while offering your child consistent co-regulation. I offer consultation with parents and caregivers to shape a home environment that supports your child’s regulation and readiness for connection.
Community Settings
As with school support, I support your child’s access and meaningful participation in extracurricular or community spaces. Perhaps your child volunteers at their local animal shelter, goes to chess club, dance lessons, or pottery class, I can provide one-on-one support in these settings as needed by your child.
What do services look like?
Drawing on the Functional Emotional Developmental Capacities (FEDCs) of the DIRFloortime® framework, I meet each child exactly where they are and tailor support to meet their current needs. Areas of support may include:
Self-Regulation and Co-Regulation: Consistent, attuned support helps your child feel safe, understood, and ready to engage.
Circles of Communication: Building back-and-forth interaction with peers and adults — fostering connection and social learning.
Shared Problem-Solving: Solving problems together, and making sense of the world around them.
Symbolic Play & Creative Expression: Creating space to explore ideas, feelings, and stories through imaginative play — supporting symbolic thinking, language, and the ability to connect ideas meaningfully, all while following the child’s lead.
Flexible Thinking and Perspective Taking: Supporting flexible thinking in a world with many exceptions and unexpected changes or outcomes. Supporting perspective taking around their own experiences and experiences in relationship with others.
Advocacy — With and For Your Child: I nurture your child’s own self-advocacy and felt-agency, while learning their cues and stepping in to advocate for their needs when they need my support.
